All of us share a vision of a world where children are given the opportunity to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. We can help make that happen in our community by supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Big Bend.
Current economic conditions have placed a tremendous burden on single parent and low-income families. Our Boys and Girls Clubs address the needs of these families by providing after school and summer programs to over 7,000 children and young people in thirteen clubs throughout the Big Bend. Our kids receive computer based learning and life skills training that aligns with our public schools; character and leadership development opportunities; arts and cultural enrichment; and sports, fitness, and recreational programs through our clubs.
Working with the staff of our Boys and Girls Clubs, I can personally attest to the effectiveness of our programs. I know you care about the future of our children, and I hope you will do what you can to support this cause by making a financial contribution to the 2009 “It Just Takes One” Annual Campaign.
